Rhythm is a data visualization and sonification of menstrual cycle data over the course of a year between 2/2/17 and 2/2/18. Literally listening to the
body celebrates the physicality of its presence, resisting the categorization and disembodied abstraction of identity that happens in the commodification of personal data online. The sonification of this data gives space to explore a subjective biological rhythm that is unique from cycle to cycle, or person to person. I am interested in the process of collecting and interpreting bio-data as ritual act that allows one to assert and explore this presence in a poetic way.
