when you think about your goals, don’t just consider the outcome you want. Focus on the repetitions that lead to that place. Focus on the piles of work that come before the success. Focus on the hundreds of ceramic pots that come before the masterpiece.

Docu-style on black psyche and whiteness.

mostly late 60s broadcasts of black entertainers and testimonies. Some speaking is withheld by black figure in jux to a white figures perspective of race.

Note:
- (un)conscious bias matriculates indirectly and directly
- still a very American view. more interested in blackness as a global construct

You could do so much more!

I guess so, huh?

You know what I meant.

I know exactly what you meant. You're talking about the american dream. You find something that you love and then you twist it and torture it and you try to find a way to make money out of it. Spend a lifetime doing that, and at the end you can't find a trace of what you started out loving. What'd you start out loving?

Don't remember.

Hope Floats

We have to remember that love always, always transforms its object.
