The secret is to always have some sort of texture or pattern on upper wear. Never walk around as a solid block of color.
Shirts have texture because they ruffle + folded sleeves. Patterns are cool too, just not thick stripes lol.
Plain t-shirts (even single-color polos) are pretty unflattering unless ur like, really fit. And even then, it's kinda meh.

Almost never: Grey, brown, red, greens, yellow. Basically nothing that is not a really dark or light shade.
