Week 6: Value-based design
1. It made me realize how much the brand does behind the scenes and the values that are important to them, which made me admire them a bit more.
I am not particularly well versed in capitalism however I can see how it causes inequality. Whereas I strongly value economic, cultural, and political equality. I value the considerations in Kate Raworths dough diagram which puts many important values about the environment, which I admire. I value the 7 corporate principles as it creates a healthy work environment and takes consideration the workers and community. Lastly, I value being financially stable and having opportunities for everyone to accumulate wealth themselves.
It was kind of difficult since I haven't really thought thoroughly about some of those things. Others may have the same difficulty.
What is values-based leadership?
The rules by which we live our lives (always unconscious until we identify them)
The unspoken truths from which we operate, which are deeply tied to our identity and sense of self
Our internal operating system, or the code by which we behave in order to remain in integrity with ourselves
