Globally, we live in a moment of prototypes. The internet is only a few decades old and the new physical infrastructure of digital connection is still being built. In the last decade a revolution in distribution has begun, resulting in mega-networks distributing goods across the world. Micro-networks are moving goods just a few kilometers from point of production to consumption. The spatial conditions required are still in flux, and our projects try to identify their potential future.
What is the urban response to the increasingly ephemeral occupation of Tilburg's industrial buildings? How will cities handle our hunger for food delivery? Now the biennale has sold our cities, what is left for them to say? How will the Dutch lift their heads - and homes - above sea level? Is the Netherlands still a site for spatial prototypes?
