one’s capacity to give love grows with the exercise of it, so perhaps the more love we have received, the more we are able to absorb and in that sense no one ever has enough
i feel maybe we should redefine what being a hopeless romantic means. not exclusive to romantic relationships but someone who continues to choose love in all aspects of their life. love as trying again, compassion, gratitude etc.

what is love of not a shield thrown up around you when you are too injured to throw it up yourself?
