Find an existing public dataset that does not follow the ethos of the 7 feminist data principles, then find a way to reveal the missing (or voided) information. This could be through recreating the data, visualizing "blank spots" in the dataset, cross-comparing multiple datasets, dissecting classification systems, or visualizing data collection processes.
Alternatively, you may find an existing dataset or data visualization and reinterpret it based on a set of principles of your choice (or design). These principles can be taking on a critical lens, an experimental lens, a non-western lens, etc.
All aspects of your project will be evaluated: Concept, design, presentation, execution, technical difficulty. If some technical aspects are not achievable within a time frame this can be made up with design, presentation and visualization.
This assignment (and title) is inspired by the work of Mimi Onuoha and also the Critical Computation course in the MFA Design & Technology Department at Parsons.
