Nomadic architecture is the antithesis of modernity. While the latter is rooted in a blindfolded state of constancy and stability, the former is prepared to confront the very reality of improbability, of unpredictable and unexpected events that shape the life ways of our times. I am reminded of how the belief of Nature as inherently stable, predictable and controllable resulted in our collective failure to recognize the very reality of being hit by covid, despite all the facts we see and know. It was like standing in your apartment, behind the glass window, gazing out at the incoming tsunami with an immobilized mind. It was like a recognition, a communication, from an uncanny Other to us, like a tiger that leaps at us just as we glimpse its jaws.
