The house and Pandora continued in this rhythm for years. The phone calls had dried up and she slowly lost touch with everyone she had known. Pandora realised that she had forgotten the names of her friends and family. The doorbell had rang the day before and she had jumped out of her skin to hide in a cupboard where she sat shaking for hours with terror. In this time, Pandora began to recall all she had lost as she had become absorbed in the house.

The house felt her slow pulling away from its grip and it became increasingly more sinsister. The once friendly faces that used to smile at her were now grimacing, their faces contorting into frightful sneers.
