Bráulio Amado, personal t-shirt, 2017.
This says “I am allergic to seafood” in Japanese, traditional Chinese, Korean, and Vietnamese. Bráulio (who is allergic to seafood) produced it for his trip to Asia, but then made it available as a commercial product later on. Doing so turned it from an appropriate and effective way to communicate into a meaningless product that portrays Asia as a single generic land with foreign writing systems.
