The possibility I seek to unearth is precisely the pos sibility that makes existence impossible. Isn’t the possibil ity ofdenegation, this tenacious, unshakeable faith in the wholly other origin, the possibility ofdestructive plastic ity, which refuses the promise, belief, symbolic constitu tion of all resources to come? It is not true that the structure of the promise is undeconstructible. The phi losophy to come must explore the space of this collapse of messianic structures.
