Smokey Hollow Barbershop
Smokey Hollow Barbershop

This is a restored barbershop in Cascades Park. It is one of the last remaining structures from the Smokey Hollow community, a historically black neighborhood that was all but erased during urban renewal (1950s-1960s).

The City restored this historic structure and returned it to its former home as an exhibit in Cascades Park.

At the Commemoration event, County Commissioner Maddox said this shop “ produced men. I can only imagine how much knowledge and how much manhood came out of this.”

To visit, call the City's Parks and Recreation department at (850) 891-FUNN.
