76. The Future of the Countryside
76. The Future of the Countryside

According to architect and urbanist Rem Koolhaas, the fact that 50 percent of the global population now lives in cities has become an excuse to ignore the other 98 percent of the world’s surface: the countryside. Countryside: Future of the World is a research project that presents speculations about tomorrow through insights into the countryside today, and will explore how the world’s rural landscapes have been altered by technology, migration and climate change.
