Environmental Wind-Baggery
genevieve costello

The late British architectural critic and historian Reyner Banham, who was originally trained as an aeronautical engineer, was an early advocate for inflatables. In his 1968 essay "Monumental wind-bags," Banham provides a first-hand account of his experience spending a day inside a pneumatic enclosure designed by Peter Murray and Tony Gwilliam at the BBC television studio in 1967.
