The Falklands Project - Jasmijn Visser

In 1494, the Treaty of Tordesillas is signed by Spain and Portugal. To this day, it continues to play a role in the dispute over the sovereignty of the Falkland Islands. Spain and Portugal are two of the main maritime powers of the 15th century. Their conquests extend to Africa, Guinea and the Canary Islands.
