Collaborative Creation Process For Strings at Colby College

Info

In early 2019 I was invited to be a visiting guest artist at Colby College in Maine. I spent 2 weekends in January conducting workshops (during Colby's JanPlan workshops), and 5 weeks full-time working with a team of students and staff to create an original inter-disciplinary multimedia interactive performance piece. I worked mainly with the two student co-directors - one mainly focusing on the actors and the other mainly focusing on sound and music - and one faculty member from Colby College’s department of Theatre and Dance. Our little group of 4 people - me, the two student directors and the full-time professor - worked together in the weekend workshops. In the residency-period, we were joined by more than 20 people (staff and students).
