133. Reproductive Justice Action Collective

The Reproductive Justice Action Collective (ReJAC) is a New Orleans-based network founded by Marlo Barrera that aims to share information, resources, and human power to provide access to reproductive health care to marginalized Southern communities. By promoting up-to-date, fact-based information and dismantling barriers gatekeeping information from communities, ReJAC supports Southerners by organizing toward reproductive justice, defined as the human right to maintain personal bodily autonomy, have children, not have children, and parent children in safe and sustainable communities. At IdeasCity, Fellow and ReJAC founder Marlo Barrera initiated a community resource and skill exchange network modeled off grassroots organizing methods used by ReJAC to reach its constituents.
