In the summer for 2014, I found myself in the midst of an existential crisis (aka privileged mind-fuck). I was fresh out of school and on my first artist residency in rural Wisconsin, surrounded by 60 interesting and sociable people in an aesthetically pleasing post-work environment where all of my meals were prepared for me by a crew of volunteer staff (artists) and each day included at least three thought-provoking conversations.
