The 20th-century design was greatly dominated by the modernist philosophy and ideas. That was up until a new approach to design took a stance against everything modernism stood for - it was the so-called Anti-design movement that emerged in Italy during the 1960s. In terms of architecture, it is often referred as the Radical Design period.
