Improving Surfaces of Mycelium Building Composites

1st Year student, and Micro-Grant recipient, Lauren Thu's final presentation of her research on the aesthetic properties of the sustainable building material, mycelium. Mycelium is the vegetative structure of fungi that exists before mushroom fruit bodies form. This fibrous, thread-like webbing grows quickly, easily binds to various substrates, and is completely compostable.
