New York City Transit Authority: Objects

The NYCTA Project originated as a photography experiment before evolving into a tangible collection of compelling objects. In 2011, Brian Kelley began photographing compilations of used MetroCards in his Brooklyn studio, arranging them in various grids. MetroCards that were bent, damaged, and even burned provided Kelley with subtle variations that challenged his photography and created unique visual interpretations of common objects.
