Since the early days of the Soviet Union, Russian architects were fascinated by technology's transformative potential. Today, their utopian thinking is fuelling private profits. Cities are palimpsests, pages from millenary books in constant edition and transformation. Urban scribes cross out, erase and write in margins: their pen is inconspicuous and incremental.
