The Insecurity Machine

Long before COVID-19 swept the globe, insecurity was already everywhere. Countless people faced housing, health, and food insecurity. Environmental insecurity was rising as changing weather patterns put communities at risk of fires and flooding. Prior to the advent of "social distancing," we hid behind doors, locks, gates, and border walls, afraid of public space and one another.
