Swarnabh Ghosh is a PhD student at Harvard University working at the intersection of critical urban theory, geography, environmental history, and science and technology studies. His ongoing doctoral research focuses on the intertwined historical geographies of irrigation infrastructure, agrarian development, and capitalist urbanization in South Asia. He is a member of the Urban Theory Lab at the Harvard GSD.

Swarnabh received his Master of Architecture from the Yale School of Architecture and a Master of Philosophy (with distinction) in Urban Studies from the University of Cambridge where he studied as a Yale Bass Scholar. His M.Phil dissertation examined the political ecologies of urbanization and the techno-managerial underpinnings of development in post-liberalization India through an analysis of the Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor.

Before coming to Harvard, he practiced in New York for several years with the interdisciplinary studio Diller Scofidio + Renfro where he was involved in projects spanning art, architecture, and landscape design.
