Control is a manifestation of your own insecurity; it is a sign that fear is trying to govern your mind. If your peace is important to you, then you have to find a way to accept reality as it is. Remember, you can speak your truth, but that doesn’t mean it will automatically change things. When you see that control has not worked for you, try acceptance.
Don’t pressure yourself into making noise on the internet because you’re afraid of being forgotten.
Take your time & make something that will last longer than you will even if that means infrequent output.
Trends will get you there now, a unique and original feeling will last forever.
WT: I see that as almost the most important duty. To take the freedom is actually the hardest work.
IG: Yes. One often thinks, “I’ve got this driving feeling. I have to drive the motorway to the very end,” and then, “I must do this and this and that.” But that’s not good. It’s much better when one interrupts this routine in order to approach what one does differently. One gains a lot from this process—all that time that one . . .
WT: . . . thinks one is losing, one has actually won.
