These are some examples of possible approaches in graphic design. You can think of an approach as a way of working or an orientation towards an outcome – it doesn't necessarily dictate what the outcome will be. Approaches can apply to form, content, structure, media, and format. This list is not meant to be exhaustive or definitive, but here as a tool to help guide you. What's missing? Feel free to add or ignore as needed.
Do you allow for others to participate in part or all of the process?
Is it collaborative or directed?
Do you use techniques of appropriation?
Are you creating a platform to circulate publications or objects out into the world?
Will this occur digitally and/or physically?
Do you encourage dialogue between members of your audience?
Does the dialogue occur in physical space, screen space?
Is the dialogue one to one, one to many, many to many?
