In 2012 I opened the Space for Art and Industry, a not-for-profit gallery at the Brooklyn Navy Yard focused on drawing connections between art-making, science and industry. Over the year long program the space hosted a broad range of public exhibitions including:
Klaus Schafler: Climate Manipulation Station - a projection into the year 2050, including a synthetic tree for scrubbing CO2, the transformation of a town square in an Austrian town to repel heat, and other speculative works on climate manipulation.
Collected Work of Matthew Lewandowski- thousands of dies used to stamp gold earrings, created by a self-taught machinist from Poland.
Running Room- a film series and installation highlighting historic and contemporary films from Norway.
Analemma- a collaborative project and installation by students from Virginia Commonwealth University.
