1 Actual Source is the collaborative art and design practice of Davis Ngarupe and JP Haynie. They design publications, identities, websites, and spaces for local and international clients. Upcoming projects include: Call Now, a new exhibition by Actual Source at the Arizona State Art Museum and a summer residency at Otis College of Art and Design focusing on Shoplifters Issue 7* (Los Angeles Special).

2 In addition to studio practice, Actual Source operates as a multi-format publisher, brand, and retail store that collaborates with contemporary artists, designers, and writers to publish limited edition books, fonts, clothing, and objects. Recent collaborations include Dinamo, Joel Evey, Jan Horcik, Allan Ludwig, Sam & Kaeli Wood, Girlbarf, Raf Rennie, Hassan Rahim and Catalogue.

3 Actual Source was founded by Davis Ngarupe and JP Haynie in 2016 as the publishing imprint and retail store of Number 04, the studio they co-founded in 2013. In 2017 they decided to pursue Actual Source full time. The name Actual Source comes from an exhibition by Number 04 that took place at the Utah Museum of Contemporary Art in early 2015.
