What is a cyborg? Are any of us not cyborgs? What pleasures and tensions exist in the cyborgian boundary between human and technology, and how may we play within that boundary? What is our responsibility to technology as other-than-human kin? What can the cyborg teach us about contradiction, corruption, kinship, and partial, fluid, and liminal identities? What does the evolution of consciousness beyond the organic mean for the human spirit, or the ecological community? How will our definitions and understanding of humanity change in relationship to the technological future?
