“What is love for you?”
“Let’s say, there’s this dark tunnel. You see a bright light ahead. Love is going toward the bright light in spite of the dark tunnel, and always choosing to go toward the bright light.”
"Without knowing what healthy love looks like, we have a hard time creating it in our lives. We hang on to mere shreds of love, sacrifice ourselves on its altar, run in fear when we find it." — Anodea Judith
i gave myself permission to love someone who’s good for me
it sounds stupid but i never thought i would deserve someone good for me
i think of the initial modes of attraction - the crushes i had in kindergarten, and middle school, and high school, how unexplainable connection felt before anyone started slapping status and criteria on every single person (i write this now and feel in my bones how tragic this can can be). how you’d just find yourself on a curb with a group of people who would soon give you memories of a lifetime. how finding yourself somewhere with someone is as simple as life gets. this is what life is , places and people .
maybe it is so important to love and stop loving so many people. they will all show you something new to love about yourself. (you will be okay)
