we were scavengers that were trying to find "gold" and would go around our neighborhood looking for "special" items (most the time just random things we found on the street) and would bury them underneath a huge saguaro cactus in my friend's front yard for safe keeping
we were 'run away kids' that had to fend and forage on our own in the unknown world (the creek our house backed up on to)
we'd each own a car (cut out from a car catalogue) and during recess would steal each others' parking spots (in my notebook). i'd update the lot during class
We were all "olden times girls" recently orphaned and caring for one another. The coveted role was the "oldest sister" who was usually supposed to be 8 and handled all the money.
