Oxtail is present in both Caribbean and Korean cuisine because it was a castaway cut of meat given to slaves.
The National Museum of African American History and Culture explained by its principal architect, Sir David Adjaye
The exterior of the museum features a bronze-colour façade. It references the bronze roofs of the American South, infrastructure of America built by slaves who brought their knowledge of bronze crafting from the kingdom of Benin, where the majority of slaves passed through it were sold from.
The obelisk, the national monument which stands beside the NMAAHC, is a structure borrowed from Greco-Roman architecture, who borrowed from Nubian Egyptian structures.
Adjaye views the museum as a tree. The light filtering in through the façade makes for a canopy-like mottled light. The museum itself is structured where the bottom levels detail the history of the transatlantic slave trade, and the upper levels detail the impact of African American arts and culture across the US and world.
Adjaye is fascinated with spaces of gathering.
“Ask Dr. Freudina - Narcissist vs. Empath”
Narcissistic personality disorder is diagnosable, while being an empath is a label people choose to identify with.
Individuals who have had small acts ignored in childhood derive worth from large acts of saving or helping. Does that diminish the value of good work done for the sake of self-satisfaction?
The negative or destructive traits of empaths show themselves in the presence of narcissists. Empaths who want to help people may find themselves constantly falling short of their expectation to help others by being sucked into someone else’s bottomless pit of needing help. Empaths may feel cursed when they are unable to meet their expectations for themselves, which is to help other people.
Difference between empathy and an empath; an empath without boundaries enmeshes another person’s feelings into their identity.
Empath behaviour can be developed in childhood in the presence of neglectful, inattentive, or emotionally immature caregivers. “The broken healer”
Narcissism is entitlement coupled with inflated sense of self-importance, grandiose notions of their individuality, which is unhealthy.

Science is experiencing a major replication crisis; a crazy high number of papers detailing experiments cannot be replicated. Policies informed by these studies involving drugs which affect human behaviour are being passed.
