User Journey as Hero's Journey
Right now, most of society is interfacing blindly: with minimal understanding of the technology they use, and zero awareness of its agency over them. How do we get to the Awakening moment? When the Hero rises from the dead, reborn and omniscient? How do we shepherd the user through the Valley of Death?
LinkedIn optimizes for recruiters, but if there's anything I've found it's that if you optimize for the job seeker, the recruiters are going to bend over backward to do anything you want, as long as you have qualified leads coming in.
