i have spent the past four or five days in a cabin around 15km outside of oslo. every day, i fetch water from the well, boil it, make breakfast, then read until the evening, when i walk up to the ridgeline to see the sunset over the lakes. is is calming and beautiful — i think i am in love.
fun etymology fact i just learned from my lightning stress-googling: the phrase "out of the blue" comes from lightning that strikes in a place not under a cloud — out of the blue sky.
camping in a thunderstorm tonight and i gotta tell you. it's pretty scary!
seems to be going further away (15-20 secs right now, == 3-4 miles), but it was REALLY CLOSE for a hot sec there and i am not in a great spot for it 😬
